Sales Assistant - Full Time

As part of our continued expansion, Better Kitchens are looking for a Full Time Sales Assistant to join our busy team.

Better Kitchens provide complete kitchens and components to customers across the UK who will have either placed an order using our online shop, visited our showroom, or spoken to us over the telephone.

This role involves dealing with customer enquiries in our showroom, by telephone and Live Chat.

The position requires an ability to understand kitchen designs and plans, good communication skills, the ability to work to tight deadlines and being able to work closely within a team.

The primary duties of this role include?

  • Helping customers to purchase their new kitchens online.
  • Greeting customers who visit the showroom and making them feel at ease to browse and ask questions. 
  • Helping customers with their plans and ideas by informing them of options and techniques.
  • Assisting customers with colour and style options.
  • Informing the customers of the Better Kitchens buying process.
  • Taking payments from customers and producing invoices and credit notes.
  • Working towards individual and group targets.

To apply for this role your experience and skills should include:

  • Previous sales experience within the furniture industry would be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • This is a customer-facing role, so you will need to be comfortable speaking face-to-face with customers in our showroom and on the phone regarding their kitchen orders
  • Previous experience of working within a phone/office based  environment.
  • Clear and professional communication skills both verbally and written.
  • The ability to plan, organise and manage your own work schedule.
  • Excellent telephone manner and relationship building skills with customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to adapt to new procedures and processes as required.

Hours & Pay:

  • Full Time contract, 5 Days - 37.5 Hours Per Week.
  • Monday to Saturday Choice of Day-Off in the week (excluding Mondays).
  • Additional hours when required to meet service targets.
  • Pro Rata Salary from £23,000 to £35,000+ OTE.
